Sexy Inspiring Songs

This post was partly a comment I made on November 17, 2023, regarding an excellent story called “Max Is Back” by ClimaXX.  Music has frequently helped set the mood and/or made my Melody and I downright warm for each other’s form.  Some songs on our playlist are more my favorites and some are more Melody’s favorites.  But a LOT of the songs we both like!

So I added more songs etc. to this post than on my original comment. Of course a lot of these songs really date us, but y’all know that we are senior lovers and proud of it!  We highly recommend music to set the mood.  We originally used music in part to help dampen our lovemaking sounds.  I had kids from a previous marriage and our condominium had kinda thin walls.  As a married adult our oldest daughter told us that it didn’t work to muffle Melody’s and my enthusiastic sex sounds.

I am curious. If, like us, you and your spouse often listen to “mood” music during sex. If so, what are some of the song titles?

For us SOME sexy songs directly inspire passion (AKA make us horny). Here are some of the songs on our “Sexy Romantic Songs” list:

For Your Eyes Only By Sheena Easton
Go All The Way By The Raspberries
Afternoon Delight By Starland Vocal Band
Somewhere In The Night By Barry Manilow
Always By Atlantic Star
Making Love Out Of Nothing At All By Air Supply
Something In The Way She Moves By James Taylor
Total Eclipse Of The Heart By Bonnie Tyler
The Language Of Love By Dan Fogleberg
Endless Summer Nights By Richard Marx
Tonight I Celebrate My Love For You By Roberta Flack & Peabo Bryson

Do That To Me One More Time By Captain & Tennille

The Music Of The Night by Michael Reed & Phantom Of The Opera cast
Gimmie! Gimmie! Gimmie! (A Man After Midnight) By ABBA

How Deep Is Your Love By Bee Gees
It’s All Coming Back To Me Now By Céline Dion
Touch Me When We’re Dancing By Carpenters
There’s A Kind Of Hush By Carpenters
Voulez-Vous By ABBA
Mamma Mia By ABBA

The following songs are romantic favorites that indirectly ignite our passion because more feelings of love = more sexy passion for each other.

Save The Best For Last By Vanessa Williams
Through The Eyes Of Love By Melissa Manchester

Beach Baby By The First Class
Love Story By Taylor Swift
Hey Soul Sister By Train

Honestly, all these songs really ARE on our Sexy Romantic Songs playlist. So, what songs directly or indirectly ignite
and/or inspire your passion for your spouse, and your spouse’s passion for you? What are a few or even one of those songs?

I usually re-read my stories or posts when they are published. After reading through my song list from today’s post one song really stood out and brought back a specific memory. That song was “Do That To Me One More Time.”

I thought of our honeymoon and how we did not manage sexual intercourse on our wedding night – so at 5:30 am the next day my beautiful bride woke me and said, “Let’s DO this!” She was laying nude on her side with her head propped up by her hand. It is my favorite memory of any beautiful sight I’ve ever seen! After her invitation we then had a wonderful experience together as she gave me her virginity.

Then afterwards we were sitting up in bed together with her in front of me and me leaning on the padded headboard. She was leaning on my chest and my arms were wrapped around her.

Although it had only been a few minutes she turned her head around and looked up at me. Then she coyly averted her eyes and said, “I could do that again!” So we did! And we actually made love seven times that day! We made love 44 times on our week-long honeymoon!

So you can see why that song “Do That To Me Ine More Time” has so much meaning to us. The whole story of Melody gifting her virginity to me is in my MH stories: “Melody’s First Time parts 1 & 2.”

First of all: I'm an album listener. I have a few albums that kind of help me relax and get out of my head which I find helps. A lot of it is New Age music, and then there are things like binaural beats and other science-based researches into things like specific frequencies that are supposed to turn us on. The most effective of these is ECSTASY by Kelly Howell: I can get aroused merely by listening to that album cold. I'll just make a list though:

    Kelly Howell – Ecstasy
    Kelly Howell – Attract Love
    Kelly Howell – Positive Thinking
Dr. Jeffrey Thompson – Gamma Meditation System I&II
    Llewyllen – Tantric Sexuality
    Shastro – Tantric Heart

There are others, and in fact there are a few people making their own mood settings which I really enjoy. I'm also starting to delve more into the new age style music, I'm sure that there are a lot of CDs out there that get used for things like yoga and massage therapy that would work extremely well. Usually if something mentions Tantra in the title it's going to be a bit more of a steamy/sexy mood which might be more in line with what you're looking for.

Considering what you have on your list, I'm surprised to not find Barry White there; I understand that can do the trick for a lot of couples.

Great selections some we have & some we don't. I'll suggest the entire Journey: "Trial by Fire CD" especially the song When you Love a Woman. It's still one of my personal favorites

My wife and I are avid music lovers. We both love music spanning the 50s to the 80s mostly rock and pop . My tastes runs a broader spectrum than hers, from classical to international to some heavy metal. Because of this, she has learned to like others genres as well.

However, when it comes to our sanctum of intimacy, we have a collection of soundscape songs that we like to play. These are mostly instrumentals akin to meditation music. This music helps temporarily block out the rest if the world during our interludes of passion.

I fully agree that music plays a huge role in arousal and romance. Some songs just make me dream about being with my future husband, dancing or making love or waking up beside him. My playlist, though, is VERY classic! I'm an old soul and really only listen to stuff from the 30s-60s. I love the crooners, big bands, light orchestras, and a lot of great classic film music. Some favorite songs that I've compiled for my wedding night (or other honeymoon nights) are the following:

    – My One and Only Love by Henry Mancini
    – Love Theme from The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938)
    – Love Theme from Ben-Hur (1959)
    – In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning by the Boston Pops
    – Laura's Song by Bill Purcell
    – South Sea Island Magic by 101 Strings Orchestra

I have to say I approve of your music choices! Admittedly my tastes run a bit more modern, but Rozsa and Korngold are some wonderful composers, and I love that you enjoy film music. I have totally masturbated to parts of Basic Instinct (for obvious reasons) and Gladiator (if you play from the beginning, there's a long slow buildup to an explosion; fun to try to time my orgasm to it). I guess I can think of a few more to add to your list but it depends on your opinion of the saxophone:

      Body Heat – John Barry
Sea of Love – Trevor Jones
Body of Evidence – Graeme Revell
The Russia House – Jerry Goldsmith

And also some sultry erotic music by Mychael Danna in Exotica and Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love. Honestly I need to learn more about golden age stuff.

    • LovelyLonelyLady says:

To Faith-Manages: yes, those two film composers are favorites of mine! I rarely meet anyone who recognizes the names, so it's really neat that you know their work!

Rarely do my wife and I incorporate music with sex, but why not? At least not intentionally incorporate it. There's a really sultry jazz station that comes in clear on our alarm clock radio we sometimes have playing for some white noise for the neighbors.
The only song I could think of was by far the all time classic kink song is:

Venus in Furs – Velvet Underground.

There's different versions of it, some are long. When we've done certain kinks, after a couple glasses of wine, I turned it on.
Also, we love the sound of some slow Norah Jones. That's been a thing too.

I'll have to try some more new age music next time. Never thought much of how different frequencies can vibe with you during intimacy and create a better scene.
    Thanks for this topic.
