Suzanna and Wayne
Suzanna and Wayne had known each other all their life. Wayne was a year ahead of Suzanna in school. Wayne had never married, and Suzanna had married but her husband had left her and divorced her soon after their first child was born.
When they were both in high school, they had felt an attraction towards each other, but neither let the other know; because they were more like family to each other. They were both on the track team and Wayne would sit with Suzanna on the bus to and from the track meets. He wanted so badly to tell her how he felt about her, but he and she never let the other know their feelings.
Time went on for both Wayne and Suzanna. Wayne went to the Army and Suzanna went off to College. Then after years of separation Suzanna’s father past away. He was a man the entire community loved. Wayne came home to the funeral and once again their eyes met and they spoke to each other briefly. The attraction had grown even more this time – they both could feel it, but once again, no one spoke of their feeling towards each other. They both went their separate ways.
Now Suzanna lived a difficult life, after a failed marriage, and as a single mother trying to raise her daughter without a husband. The loss of her father really took a toll on Suzanna’s emotional life. But Suzanna finally picked herself up, dusted herself off, and was ready to cope with life again.
Two years after Suzanna last saw Wayne, Suzanna still thinks of Wayne often. She continues to have failed relationships because the men she dates are not Wayne. While this is going on in her life the same is going on in Wayne’s life. One day Suzanna received an invitation to her cousin’s wedding in Indianapolis, Indiana. Suzanna made up her mind she would attend the wedding alone and while in town, she would try to look up Wayne because she knew he resided there.
Once she got to town for the wedding the first thing she did was to call Wayne’s sister to get his telephone number – but her line was busy. She would have to wait till later to get in touch with him. That night Suzanne felt kinda left out, she went to the wedding rehearshal dinner alone, all her relatives were coupled off. But then suddenly her heart started to pound as her eyes met Wayne right as he enters the door.
Their eyes met and they said their, “Hellos”. But Suzanna just can’t seem to communicate her feeling towards him to anyone. They both sneak glances at each other, but Suzanna doesn’t want to get hurt – what if he is seeing someone. Wayne doesn’t speak to Suzanna, because he sees her speaking to her cousins thinking one of them must be her man.
That night they both dream of each other, thinking how if they had shown their true feeling while in high school or even at Suzanna’s father’s funeral how much fuller, and happier their life would have been.
That night they both are determined that divine intervention has put them together and it is now or never. The next day before the wedding Suzanna goes to the mall for a make over. While there, she sees Wayne’s sister Marsha. Suzanna drills her for information.
Is he married? Does he have any kids? Is he working? Marsha provides all the answers to Suzanna’s questions willing to throw in a little match making herself. Marsha adds fuel to the fire by telling Wayne that Suzanna was asking about him.
So at the wedding, Suzanna sits with her family, but before the wedding starts she wants to go to the restroom. Once again as fate would have it she has to go right past Wayne who notices her first. He stops her and asks her to sit with him so they can catch up on old times. She graciously takes him up on the offer.
They sit through the wedding together, Then they are at the reception together, laughing, eating, dancing and remembering the good old days. They both tell each other what has happened in their life over the years and it seemed like their lives were missing each other. Everyone at the reception thought they made a good couple, Some folks stated later they knew Wayne and Suzanna would get together some day.
Five months later Suzanna and Wayne got married. After a year and a half of marriage they had a beautiful baby boy. To this day they know it is a marriage made in heaven.

I enjoy non-sexual romance stories mixed in with sexual ones.
