Like Newly Weds Again

After a long, two or three-month lull, my husband and I are like newlyweds again.  I have been on medication, which must have really lowered my libido.  I didn’t even want to think about sex.  I had to literally force myself to go along with it.  It was strange because I had lost 60 pounds and should have been feeling very confident.  On the contrary, I didn’t want my husband to see me or touch me.  I really think someone was praying for me.  It could have been my husband.  If it was him, he sure did get his prayers answered.  I have been a mad woman lately.  It all started when I was grocery shopping and I walked by the condom aisle.  I just was just curious about the new products – like the warming lubricants or whatever.  But, I spotted some flavored condoms.  I thought, “Maybe I could spice things up a little, maybe that would help.”  But I passed by.  I was too embarrassed to pay for them.  I finished up my shopping and got in line, but I couldn’t stop thinking about those flavored condoms.  I decided I really needed to do this for our marriage.  Whatever would help me renew my interest would definitely help our marriage.

I got home and showed them to my husband.  He was completely shocked.  He said, “WHAT is this?  We don’t need these!”  I said, I know…I just thought they might be fun to try.  Neither one of us could wait until the kids were in asleep and it was OUR bedtime.  And it was incredible.  Just like being reunited.  We started out slow…just “pleasuring” each other.  Then, I put the condom on him myself.  I had never done that before.  It was vanilla flavored.   Quite yummy, but he didn’t like the way it felt so it had to come off.  After that, we had a wonderful time together and we have every day since then.  It has been over a week of lots and lots of wonderful sex.  I can’t wait until tonight!  I don’t know what happened.  I believe it was only with God’s help though!  We needed a little spice, I guess!  I encourage anyone who is feeling a little sluggish in this area to, first of all, pray!  Ask God’s help.  He wants us to enjoy our spouse!  Secondly, to find something brand new.  Maybe even just this website.  I know it has encouraged me to try new things…. and just to act like a newlywed again.
