Long Day Lovely Night
I came in from a 14-hour workday with screaming children. I knew that all I had to look forward to at home was cooking dinner, cleaning the dishes, and passing out somewhere around midnight. My husband would help if he could, but he’s been so busy with work lately that I don’t want to push him. I drive up to my house and notice that the lights are on. I’m surprised because Patrick’s normally asleep when I come in.
I walk in the door and there are rose petals on the floor, music is playing in the background, and I can smell my favorite dish, lasagna. I walk into the kitchen and see my husband with a confused look on his face surveying the spices. He realizes that I’m there only a little too late to conceal his confusion. “You’re home early,” he says. I only smile and kiss him. He kisses back but in a sensual way. We eat lasagna by candlelight and he tells me to go take a bubble bath, that he will do the dishes. Of course this makes me suspicious of what his plans are, but I concede. I go into the bathroom and there are candles all around the tub.
Moments after I get into the tub, Patrick comes into the room and asks me if I want any company. I tell him that I would love some, so he slips in behind me and starts giving me a back massage. After doing this for a few minutes, I turned around and kissed him, softly at first and then harder and harder.
His hands began to roam a few places other than my back. I in turn reciprocated the petting. We knew both needed this moment for each other. It had been nearly a month since we’d done anything sexual. I felt how excited he was, and it made me smile to myself. The water was beginning to get cold, so I suggested we go into the bedroom.
We dried off and made our way to our king size bed. It didn’t take long before we had picked up where we left off. He began to head down south, and I let him. He was amazing. The room nearly started to spin. I then returned the favor, but just before I would have finished, I made my way back up and let him take control.
It was not long before our first round was finished and our second round began. By the end of that one, we were worn out. We just laid there in each other’s arms enjoying the moment that we knew we probably wouldn’t come again for a while. I looked into his eyes and thanked him for the night.
He then said something that completely surprised me. He said that it was the anniversary of our first date, and that he wanted to make it special. I realized that it was moments like this that made me fall in love with him again every day. We kissed, told each other how much we loved each other, and said goodnight.
