Christian Sex Anime?

Hello everyone, I’m restoringsoul.

I’ve been reading MH stories some time, and the stories are riveting. It’s hard to believe such a site would exist! Which brings me to this question: I am a fan of a lot of anime (Japanese animation) shows. I don’t watch the popular ones, though, since most are about witchcraft and too sexual at times. I wondered if an anime show could rightly represent a Christian married couple. It’s an idea I came up with that’s lingered in my mind since I was a teen. If that existed and still included the sexual and erotic images we see in secular shows, movies, etc., would that be okay? Or do you all think it would cause more trouble for married and single viewers? It would have to be fictional, not based on my experiences since I’m not married (I want to be though…). If I wasn’t the one creating it, it would be something I’d want to watch. Plus, erotic things can be images, music, and all sort of art; just wanted to say that. I figure since it’s erotic and not pornography it should be good.

I signed up to MH just to hear your opinions. Thank you for your time, and please keep the site going.

Like reading Marriage Heat, watching an anime sex scene that purports to show married erotica is tricky. Quite honestly I think there may be a place for it. Marriage Heat has wonderfully erotic stories that promote married sex and marriage in general. Hollywood seems to rarely promote the legitimate sexual relationship in marriage. In fact even literature seems full of outside of marriage sex but rarely celebrates married sex. Romance novels and movies are almost always about singles dating etc. You rarely see a story about a married couple figuring out God’s great gift of a marriage relationship, and a married sexual relationship. I don’t know how graphic or detailed you would make an anime film that celebrates the sexual love of a married couple. Some people would consider anything more than kissing as pornography. On the other hand, promoting heathy married sex is what this website is doing. And the stories are often quite detailed. I think anime could be used to teach about healthy and creative sex practices and healthy relationship practices to married couples and possibly to unmarried people who hope for marriage someday. After all, good relationship outside the bedroom usually = good relationship IN the bedroom. Maybe anime married sex videos would be good for newlyweds or engaged couples to learn about all the different things we old marrieds have learned about married relationships and married sex. Lots of young people grow up with anime and so they are comfortable with that art form.

There are married couples that do sex tapes for sale. Are you saying it is alright to watch others having sex as long as they are married? If it’s educational?

I have never seen anime sex but it doesn’t sound exciting. But to each their own. I try not to judge.

Anime is for young hipsters, lol. I'd rather look at old Japanese illustrations if I have to look at drawings…or heck, there some great erotic art by the old masters.

I think most of the previous comments are missing the forest for the trees on this topic. In my reading of the post, restoring soul is not looking for comments about whether we think anime is cool, but about whether visual erotica is legitimate if it portrays righteous sexuality performed by virtual characters. This is a really important question imho, especially for singles.
I think anime (including all kinds of 3d graphics, not just Japanese hentai) is quite distinct from sex tapes and pornography in that viewers are not sharing in the marriage bed of another couple. Furthermore, no actual woman or man are displaying their genitals or sexual acts for another's enjoyment that is not their spouse. Animated sex is simply not the same as pornography, and I think it is valid for erotic enjoyment provided each individual uses it responsibly and within the guide of their own conscience. Personally, my conscience is not seared with its use.
I could expound the argument further, but I'll keep it brief here.

    Cheers, y'all,
    CR
