First Date in Years!

A note from MarriageHeat: due to the nature of this post being primarily a personal life update, we have allowed it to bypass much of our ongoing backlog so that such a life update can be communicated in a timely manner.

Hey guys! This is MamaGG.

Well, I took the plunge! I went on my first “date” I guess you can say—the first date I’ve had since before I married my late husband Ben, and the first one since my stroke last year. I was nervous as hell.

It was with this guy named Arthur. He is tall, good looking, kinda distinguished looking. He wears glasses and has snow-white hair parted to the side and the prettiest blue eyes. He’s two years my junior.

Come to find out, he had worked with Ben years ago. So with the encouragement of my daughter Alica and my best friend Sheila, I accepted.

Let me just say that I had a wonderful time. We had a nice dinner and drove around the mountains and talked. He was very well mannered, opened doors for me and didn’t seem to mind that I had to bring my cane along and had to sit and rest a bit. I think I was more apprehensive about it than he was.

It was after twelve when he brought me home. I guess time does fly when you’re having fun! And for a while, we just sat out in the driveway and talked. Actually, I did most of the taking, but he seemed to take it all in stride. My breath hitched a bit when he took my hand and gently squeezed it.

After our date ended, he gave me soft kiss on the cheek. We are planning on going out again!!!

I know this isn’t what you may have expected to hear from me, and it’s rather short! Just wanted to share it with you.

Stay horny and God bless y’all! ❤️

    MamaGG,

I'm glad for you. Having had a small stroke a couple of months ago, I can understand your apprehensiveness. (Glory to God, the doctors said that I had fully recovered before even leaving the hospital. They said that is very rare. But, I still have some occasional after-effects — such as not being able to be outside long in this record heat.)

Speaking of mountains, a few weeks ago I was at an event in East Tennessee. It's a bit of a drive for me (I live near Nashville), but I love the scenery. It reminds me of Upstate New York, where I used to live before moving to Tennessee 25 years ago. Mountain air seems to carry more "energy". (The Smokies look a lot like the Adirondacks.)

    I wish you well.
