Sleeping Naked – A Survey
At some point fairly early in our marriage, my wife and I ditched the PJ’s when it came time for bed. I’m not really sure when or what prompted it. We’ve been doing it for so long now I can’t remember! But we began sleeping naked and we continue to do so. It’s gotten to the point that we are so used to it that if we try to wear something to bed it’s actually uncomfortable and we have a hard time sleeping. Not long ago we went to visit family out of town and we wore clothes to bed (since we were in someone else’s house) and we just didn’t sleep well. Part of it was being in a different house and bed than we were used to, but part of it was definitely the PJ’s we wore. We couldn’t wait to get home so we could sleep naked again! And now we pretty much sleep naked every night. If it gets cold we wear underwear and when my wife is on her period she wears underwear. But that’s pretty much it.
So I was just wondering about something and thought I would present a little survey. I thought this would be fun.
The basic question is: Do you sleep naked?
But let’s add some other questions to go along with it.
1. Do you sleep naked EVERY night? (Even if you don’t have sex that night)

We generally both sleep naked every night unless it is really cold; it would take a lot for us to change those habits either if we had guests or were the guests. We’ve been sleeping naked for all the time we’ve been married (24 years). We have both never liked pyjamas getting wrapped around sheets and duvets. Sleeping naked does not lead to more frequent sex – as naturists, we are comfortable with each other’s naked body anyway. We never slept together before we were married.
I sleep naked every night, while about once a month my wife will try, but rarely will she make it through the night before putting her pj’s back on. If she comes to bed naked, we are going to have sex.
I rarely sleep naked. Sometimes after a good fucking or jill off session I might, but normally I prefer wearing a gown or a pair of jammies.
Ben always sleeps naked, has since he was sixteen. His father preferred sleeping naked, so Ben just took up after him. He too says he just can’t sleep with clothes on. He will sleep in a pair of boxers if we are at my parents or have company.
When we first married it used to lead to more sex, mainly because I couldn’t keep my hands ( or mouth) off of him. Still can’t! As long as we have been married, it is just a normal thing now. I sleep nude all the time and my wife most of the time. She will add a shirt if it is really cold. We’ve done so for many of the 38 years we have been married, more so onece our kids moved out of the house. If we have guests I have shorts that I will put on. The pajamas that I own were mine before we were married. I understand how it now feels uncomfortable wearing pjs as I feel the same way. Now that we have a Tempurpedic mattress, not wearing clothes to bed is even more of a blessing as the mattress gets a bit warm.
I’ve been sleeping naked since I would say high school…probably middle school. I started sleeping in my underwear only when I was young, because you know, the grown men on TV did that, and so did my father. But I don’t know what prompted…oh that’s right, when I started having Wet Dreams like most teenage boys and I didn’t like waking up with my underwear soaked so I just started sleeping naked. And then when I got married I had to get my wife to understand that sleeping naked was better than the pajamas she always slept in. It was easy when I showed her that holding her while we fell asleep could help her easily feel my hard on and I had easy access to those gorgeous tits of hers. But she’s the same as your wife, she’ll have underwear when she’s on her period but for me I love sleeping naked especially when she’s holding me and she can just wake up my manhood just by accidentally grazing me with her hand…or was it an accident…?
My personal opinion overall is this, with as much sex as we have clothes just get in the way, but also when we’re just holding each other I love the feeling of her skin on mine, I don’t always have to get that through sex 🙂

If we have guests or we’re at someone else’s house, I’ll typically just wear some loose boxers. My wife will typically steal the pajama pants I use for when I’m traveling and wear one of my old ripped up concert t-shirts (I have many of those).

I have been sleeping nude since before my family moved from Sydney to America.
6. Where did you get the idea to start sleeping naked? (If you remember.) Same as Upcoming Author. I hated waking up with soaked boxers after having wet dreams (dang you, puberty)

Most nights, we sleep naked. When Holly is on her period, she wears underwear. When we have company, we usually sleep naked as usual, but we have something to put on right next to the bed, ready to throw on quickly if needed. When we are guests in someone else’s home, Drew wears boxers and Holly will wear a tshirt and undies (though we of course wear pjs when we’re out of the bedroom).
Each of us began sleeping naked as teenagers. Holly found that she was just more comfortable that way. Like some of the other husbands here, Drew began because he didn’t like wet underwear.
We aren’t sure if it contributes to more frequent sex, but it certainly can’t hurt. It makes morning quickies easier, that’s for sure. We also like the feeling of snuggling skin-to-skin. There isn’t anything better.

I don’t sleep naked because I get too cold…and if I do try to sleep naked, I usually end up having to at least put some socks on…and that just looks kinda silly. (Plus, we have children, and cleaning up vomit naked at 3am just isn’t hot.) So mostly it’s head to foot pjs for me…especially this time of year. But the space heater in the bedroom does wonders for getting me out of the pjs for sex whenever one of us takes the notion.
On an unrelated note, do I remember correctly that you were writing a paper on masturbation? If so, is that something you are still thinking of posting sometime? I’d really like to take a look at it.
Yes you remembered correctly. I’ve been working on it. Every time I think I’m done with it I think of something else. LOL! I’m up to 13 and a half pages so far. I think I’m done this time. Single man here who has slept nude for years…for me, it’s the only way to go- my future wife need not buy me PJs!
We have been sleeping in the nude ever since we have gotten married & shower together all the time as well. We simply just love it! It's especially nice to feel each other's silky smooth skin when lying against one another.
