Twofer Tuesdays!!
We don’t know if you’ve noticed, but every other Tuesday has been designated a Two-fer for Ignite members. That is to say, we are putting out an extra Ignite tale besides the regularly scheduled Friday releases. We didn’t like the idea that some of the contest winners would be waiting a year for their stories to get to you. Besides, we like to try and “over-deliver”!
BUT!!!
We are running low on Ignite content. So we are asking for more of the longer content from our contributors, both newbies and veterans. If you’re not yet an Ignite member and your story is accepted, you will receive a free month of Ignite that includes access to all compilations published to date and all the audio recordings. (And if you already support us financially, thank you!) Advice and Bible Study posts aren’t eligible for Ignite publication because we want them to remain available to all. But any other submission of 2000 or more words that meets the guidelines is! We especially appreciate stories that explicitly praise and thank God in the context of his gracious gift of marriage sex.
Don’t worry if you aren’t the best grammarian in the world or if your sex life doesn’t seem all that wild or exciting. We are here to build and support a culture of Hot Biblical Monogamy. God made sex and sex is good, whether it’s a “hot fudge sundae with whipped cream, nuts, sprinkles and brownie bits” or a single scoop of plain vanilla.
So send in your story (real or imaginary) of marital bliss! Be assured that even if you choose not to continue your Ignite membership, you will always have access to all your own stories.

I believe you would have more submissions if you gave more than one month subscription. It would certainly motivate me more. Writing a 2000 word story with decent quality is going to take me a couple of hours, probably. To receive a $5 gift card in return when you are making money off my story is sort of irritating. I don't begrudge you the money. I'm just saying it might make more economical sense, since you need more Ignite stories in order to keep the subscriptions going, to up the offer a bit. I would be more interested if I got 4 months out of writing a story. You'd be able to evaluate the economics of it better than I would, though.
I also have a suggestion that you give a sample audio story, like you gave a sample Ignite story.

Thanks, JC. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration, especially if other's agree. What you might not realize is that what takes an author a couple of hours to write can take us twice that to edit. Then it has to be recorded and that recording edited, which can double the time and effort again. Then there are the monthly compilations on top of the daily free content… So while it might feel like a $5 gift certificate, members get way more than $5 worth, in our humble opinion.
On top of that, Ignite signups have not yet grown to where any of that work is recompensed. That's why we so highly appreciate the help we do receive from those who believe in and benefit from our mission and try to reward them accordingly. Whether it's a financial boon by signing up for Ignite or content created and submitted to encourage others to join or volunteering to help on the backend, we want to bless your socks off!
But, hey! Just this week we reached a point where memberships cover the monthly outlay just to operate. Not the annual expenses, though. Still, it is a milestone worth celebrating! Maybe with another contest for a year's membership?

Is there ever a sample of the read stories available so we can hear if We would enjoy them? I think it’s an interesting concept.
You and several other have asked about this. We will definately be making a sample or two available.
