We Found Our People!
My wife and I have been enjoying MarriageHeat together for about a month now (the website, that is; we’ve been enjoying our own marriage heat together for over 29 years). I hope we can share more about us in the near future, but the site seems to have such a great community atmosphere that it really felt rude to just jump into the conversation without introducing ourselves first and telling a little of how we got here and how enjoyable it has been in that short time.
We have had a great and frequent sex life since the first night of our honeymoon. Sure there are ups and downs, ebbs and flows, plus learning each other (which never ends), but overall we have enjoyed an extremely healthy life of intimacy together. We have always been thankful to God for this, but at times we did feel like our experience was an oddity. We wondered if any other Christian couples had as much fun as we did. But if we were odd, then we’d continue being odd, and we would feel sad for all those other couples that were missing out.
Our sex life has gotten even better overall with time. In the last few years, the improvement has ramped up even more, and the past few months, it has grown exponentially! I would often try to find articles, advice, or tips that could help keep things new and exciting. But I got frustrated with all these resources coming from a worldly angle. I had to weed through all the unbiblical info to glean some helpful advice. I was sometimes dealing with disturbing ads as well. And I never wanted to send my wife a link to read something and subject her to that, so I had to disseminate the info and share it with her.
So a few months back, I set out on a quest to find some good sex information from a Christian perspective. While finding several great resources, I stumbled across MarriageHeat.com. I read all their “About” info and was impressed. I read a few stories and thought, “I found our people!” I was, however, uncertain of how my wife would feel about it. So based on MH’s statement as well as some other’s comments that nothing should be done in secret from one’s spouse, I quit reading and waited for the right time to bring it up with her.
Things between us continued to get hotter and hotter very rapidly, and we never felt closer in all areas of our life. Around New Year’s, I had the opportunity to tell her about the site. She said it sounded interesting but wasn’t sure how she would feel reading about someone else’s sex life. The question of reading erotic fiction together had come up recently in a game we were playing. We both answered that we were moderately interested, but with the stated concern that most of it is all about sinful encounters. So I mentioned that some people on MH wrote fictional stories still from the same biblical standards. She said she might be okay with that.
A few days later, I suggested that we read one together. We ended up reading a couple, which led to a discussion about the real-life stories. She asked if there was one I thought she’d like. I immediately chose Paradise, Part 1 because it had reminded me of some of our getaways when I read it. She read it aloud to me and agreed it sounded like our experiences. She then chose to read part 2.
I was lying next to her with my head resting on her naked body as she read. I began fingering her, and her own audible responses started to interrupt the story. Then I went down on her, and it wasn’t long before she couldn’t get a single sentence out without a whole lot of interruptions. Then she dropped the iPad and just enjoyed the interruption, which soon led to an orgasm, which led to her wanting me inside her. Of course, I was happy to oblige. We never got back to the story.
The next day she texted me from work and asked if I read any more stories that day. I told her I had picked up my iPad a little bit ago, and it opened to the story she never finished, so I read that one. She hadn’t finished it either, so I told her she should. During her long break between shifts, she started sending me links to other stories she had read and liked. She had found our people, too! We have been enjoying the stories consistently since then. Often reading them to each other and trying to cause an interruption with the reader.
This has fueled our already intense fire for each other. We have never felt so excited and adventurous. Sometimes the stories remind us of ourselves, our passion, or a similar experience we had. Sometimes they give us ideas to try or plan for. My wife said that from reading the women’s stories on the site, she has become more comfortable with herself and with telling me what she wants. Now she wants to be bolder and try new things. And wow! She has taken on that goal full speed.
I couldn’t take the time needed to tell all of how it has affected us (maybe in future stories), but it has been beyond exciting and fun. The stories have helped us embrace our God-given desire for each other even more, given us new ideas and techniques to try, enriched our understanding of the place of our sex life in our spiritual life. Plus, my wife wants me to ask my friend if we can borrow his Harley! (Thanks, ClimaXX)

Thank you Jason. I read your story the other day on the conception of your children, and it made me think of my wife and me. All of our children were also conceived during some of the most intense and passionate times of love making. One of those stories is scheduled to post on 3/11. I also appreciated your thoughts on the Lord directing everything to bring about exactly the child He planned. I think you’ll understand why when you read the story.
