There’s a niche that someone needs to fill: Christian audio erotica. We’ve talked about visual erotica, and I definitely could see married couples making sex videos or doing sensual photography in order to capture the beauty of marriage and marital sex, and share it on discreet platforms. But audio is another wonderful area of sensation! I’ve experienced an increasing number of orgasms while listening to sexual scenarios recorded with skill and taste.
The Reddit thread Gone Wild Audio, which has been introduced to me, has become one of my favorite resources. (Shoutout to Faith-Manages for recommending it!) For those who aren’t familiar with it, it’s a forum where people can either submit scripts for others to fill, or submit recorded scripts, and it’s all sexy and erotic. It has one drawback, though. There is no Christian content. Yes, there are plenty of audios with married couple plots, but most of it is the world’s take on sex. I don’t even click the ones about violence, incest, rape, degradation, or any other obvious sin.
I’ll typically pretend I’m listening to a husband-and-wife roleplay if the characters portrayed are not married, but I’d really love God-honoring options. As a woman, I prefer listening to a male voice, so this is directed mainly at men, though of course female voice-work is needed for the listening enjoyment of the guys!
So, is anyone here interested in starting something like this? I can’t imagine how much more arousing it would be to listen to a guy vocally act out a sex scene knowing that he was a Godly guy. Spiritual elements could be put in the monologue (that could be from writing your own script or doing an audio fill for someone else’s script), and other details that made the sex clean and holy would be welcome. It would just be so beautiful.
There are times when I want to masturbate and listen to a tender, passionate married sex experience (I love wedding night plots), and there are not many available, especially from the male point of view. I myself am not an actress and don’t have a voice for that kind of work, but I would gladly write scripts! In fact, I submitted a couple of my Marriage Heat stories as scripts onto Gone Wild Audio, though no one has volunteered to record them. Also, since I live at home, I don’t have the privacy in which to record erotic content.
Thus, I call on my fellow sex-positive brothers and sisters. If someone decides to set up a platform where Christians can submit hot, Biblical, aural erotica, I will be delighted to join. Let’s take sex back from the culture, even if we had to get the idea from Reddit!
I think that the further a niche specializes the less chance it'll have of appealing to enough people to get the audience needed! I know that erotic audio appeals to you and me, but beyond that, who knows?
I'd agree that quite a lot of GWA is (as the title states) pretty wild. There's a sister reddit community called Pillow Talk Audio which is far tamer and a lot of it is SFW or nearly so, and then there's a paysite called Vanilla Audio which might be in between, but I've never checked out their paid content.
With those three options I do think that you could carve out your own niche there, build a repertoire and brand, and who knows if you'd be able to spin it off from there if you get enough followers? I'm starting to get that ball rolling myself and I suppose if others here are interested as well, then we could carve out an even bigger niche! But I do think that using what already exists is a pretty useful and easy first step, and that if you want something, it's better to start it yourself than beg someone else to make if for you…
I have checked out Pillow Talk Audio, but I need to revisit it. I certainly want to submit more scripts. My issue is that there is no Christian content. I mean, I might mention God or prayer in my scripts, but that would feel out of place on GWA. As to voice acting, I can't really imagine doing it myself and sounding believable 😅, but I'd love to see a community of sex-positive Christians get together and volunteer their voices, writing, and audio editing skills. I'm really happy you are getting into that on GWA! Maybe you can start a sub-thread for Christian erotica.
LLL I think the way there is to just put it out in the sea with everything else, and just see if there is interest first! Then start a sub-thread, and then take it from there! Baby steps.
LLL, I think it would take a certain voice to pull it off well. I have heard women usually prefer listening to a deep male voice when it comes to erotica, preferably with a British, Irish or Jamaican accent.
I have a Midwestern accent and a slightly nasal baritone, so I’m probably not the guy to do it. Hopefully someone will be able to do this though.
As I am learning, everyone has different preferences. I like a deep male voice, but I actually don't care for many accents. At least not Irish (no offense to any Irishmen on here!). Clicking through the varied audios on Gone Wild Audio, I've heard every kind of voice, and women in the comments gush over all of them. But I do get you, because I don't feel like I have a sweet, feminine voice and I usually cringe-laugh when I hear it recorded!

As a single guy who lives with my immediate family, I have a similar difficulty with privacy. California cost of living, among other factors, don't make it easy, haha! I have enough privacy to engage with MH, but recording audio would be a whole other thing. I'd need a block of time with the place to myself, and that doesn't happen often!
I know MH used to have audio versions of a few stories back during the "Ignite" premium subscription days, which may have been before you joined. From what I remember, they were all narrated rather than voice acted, meaning someone read the stories out loud, but didn't add any sound effects or vocalizations of pleasure.
In some recent exploration, I did find a site that produces audio sex stories of a very good quality. I don't want to recommend it by name, since it's a thoroughly secular site and 90% of the stories would be considered immoral encounters by typical Christian standards, but there's a good chance you've come across it if you've been looking for sex audio stories. It would be amazing if we could do what that site does, except focused on stories that adhere to Christian values, essentially producing dramatized audio versions of the stories MH already publishes!
Although it would be totally possible to start a whole new site dedicated to Christian-focused audio sex stories, I figure re-starting that Ignite-era practice of audio stories here are MH would be easier, since it has been done already. However, we'd still definitely need the right narrators/voice actors and trusted volunteers to make that happen.
As for the idea of sexy audio in general, I've thought about this before myself. I DEFINITELY want to try recording things like this for my future wife. A couple of ideas include recording my best "sexy voice" guiding her to pleasure herself when I'm away, and having a recording of myself to whisper naughtly things in her ear while my mouth is occupied between her legs! I've been told that I'm good with writing, voices, and acting, and that I have a good voice for a podcast. I do think there are potential problems with this form of media, although I suppose they're the same potential problems that arise with text-based erotica and full porn/AVE videos. Mainly, the issues are whether certain stories might constitute inappropriate sexual interaction—not between characters, but between the recorder and the listener. I recently experimented with a couple of audio stories, but I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with them. I had trouble with the idea of a woman I didn't know making a recording with the intent that listeners pleasure themselves to it. That felt like it might be an inappropriate level of sexual interaction for two people with no relationship or commitment.
But then I wondered, is MH really that different? I feel like MH is different because it's primarily intended as a celebration of marital love and sex, like Song of Solomon is, rather than for the reader's pleasure, even though that's an expected side effect. I've gone around in circles, with reasoning many layers deep, and haven't come to any solid conclusions on where the line of appropriateness is, except that it falls somewhere between MH's celebration of marriage and the immoral sexual acts explicitly listed in the Bible, and it partly depends on the mindset of the reader/listener. Real insightful and useful, huh?
So anyway, I like the audio idea, but I'm still wrestling with exactly what I believe is right and wrong, and why. I'm far from having all the answers.
Even beyond the moral questions I still haven't fully settled in my mind, I'm not sure how I feel about other people listening to my voice reading erotic content. I suppose it's not all that different from people reading erotic content that I write, except that maybe my voice is more recognizable than my writing. Then again, having my voice recognized might be a pro, not a con. If someone I know is searching for God-centered sexual content, that's a good thing! And if they're brave enough, it could open up some fruitful conversations.
I think I'd definitely be more comfortable narrating stories and "voice acting" than recording my own sounds of pleasure.
And honesty… it could be kinda cool to team up with a lady to bring both male and female voices to a story with dialogue, and have the two voices to narrate and "perform" a story with the participation of both "spouses".

@PatientPassion, I’ve wrestled with similar questions. I listened to a lot of erotic audio in college. Having some exhibitionist fantasies, but also having a conscience, I almost posted my own intimate audio recordings (I made them, but never ended up posting them). For me, I would have been fine with women listening to them, but I got a lot of unwanted attention from homosexual men, and was aware a lot of men would likely use my recordings for their own arousal and pleasure, and I didn’t really feel comfortable with that. Thanks for the insights! The complications of such an endeavor are understandable, and I certainly don't want to lead anyone into sin. It will demand much thought and prayer. I don't know that I would actually want anyone but my future husband to hear my voice in a sexual context. But I have to mull over it. Audio is great, when we've videoed ourselves having sex, I'll sometimes review them later and simply listen. It's a very different sensation but just as arousing. We'll lie back and masturbate ourselves or each other listening. I know you can find content like this on Spotify. I've only listened to a few and they range from pretty tame to pretty explicit. I don't think they serve darker themes like rape, etc, because they are so public. They seem to be professionally done. Everyone I know hates hearing their recorded voice, but they all sound fine to me. When I listen to a recording of myself I can't help but think how dumb I sound. I'm not an actor, and when I'm into something I tend to get very quite. As I live in my own house, I have privacy, and it would be interesting to see if I can overcome that.
I could go for this if the audio is uploaded to MH or sister site. If it's going to be uploaded to reddit, that will bring more problems then it's worth. Could the files be uploaded without being associated with the creator's account?

There are a growing number of AI text-to-voice tools out there that sound amazingly lifelike (genny.ai for example), I think most are tuned for normal dialogue, so a guttural moan, groan or whimper might be a challenge, but some careful audio editing could let you splice in your own pleasure sounds if you’re comfortable with that. In my experience, Reddit tends to go more for either the more extreme and for me, disturbing content (GWA), or else the very immersive, beautiful, and usually more wholesome content such as scripts and script fills (Pillow Talk Audio).
For that reason, the simple audios of a person or couple experiencing pleasure without any role play or script, aren’t as common on Reddit as one might imagine. But if scripts are your thing, then Reddit probably would be top of any list you’d make.
