To a Callipygian Wife

This poem comes from our treasure box. I put it there for her to find along with a picture of that same most beautiful woman. The view is of her from behind, bent deeply at the waist and looking back over her shoulder to where her Hart stands ready to take her gorgeous hips in hand, mount and service her at her command. (I can’t share that picture, but you get the idea.)

When You Look Over Your Shoulder

When you are in this beautiful pose

this is what I see when I’ve seen you so.

When you look over your shoulder you know that you’ll see

a husband you’re pleasing as much as can be.

When you lower your head you know what you’ll find

your breasts and your lover moving in time.

When you look straight ahead and nature’s beauty you see

Know that we’re part of it, you joined with me.

When you look over your shoulder you know that you’ll find

your Hart singlemindedly mounting his Hind.

When you lower your head and then look behind

Know that he’ll never see the view that you find.

When you look straight ahead and the world surges round

know that in you all his needs your lover has found.

When you look over your shoulder this you must know

your Stag sees this world’s most beautiful Doe!

When you lower your head for the view down below

you see your Stag back there doing his best for his Doe.

When you look straight ahead and your Stag does so too

know the same scene for him is filled with the beauty of you.

And so at all times and in all places

When you look over your shoulder and though he’s not around

know that in your Stag’s mind your beauty abounds

as the lovely horse here whose beauty you see

and that if I just could you know where I’d be,

looking at you looking at me.

When you look over your shoulder.

You have made my heart beat faster

my sister, my bride.

You have made my heart beat faster

with a single glance of your eyes.

I loved the poem! The lines are so clever and reflect your deep
love & passion! (Is this called the “Deer Position?”) I loved how you talked about her beauty to you! This is my favorite stanza:

“When you look over your shoulder this you must know

your Stag sees this world’s most beautiful Doe!

When you lower your head for the view down below

you see your Stag back there doing his best for his Doe.

When you look straight ahead and your Stag does so too

know the same scene for him is filled with the beauty of you.”

So loving and so dang sexy! My wife Melodie & I love the deer position… especially when she is really REALLY turned on!

That was wonderfully written and so expressive. My wife loved being taken from behind, and she would look back at me like that. She was silent in her pleasure most of the time, but this position drove her crazy and I knew it by her sound, and her backward gaze. Thanks for the beautiful message.

Thanks all. My favorite position and view too. Given that it's what the Song builds up to before the Hind's final call for her Hart's attention as well I felt moved to try and express something of what makes it so exciting and beautiful for me. As a rule poetry doesn't usually do all that much for me, and my own is no exception. Once in a great while though it seems the only way to get something communicated, at least to myself. This one spoke to what I wanted to express about as well as I could do (delusions of adequacy?) so I went ahead and shared. Again, thanks and I'm glad others feel as deeply about this view as do I.
