The First Night
This one is based on “First Day of Love”. Told from the new husband’s view, the depth of their commitment is just now being realized. The utter joy of their long-awaited union has filled him with awe, as he understands how their waiting has brought them closer than any could possibly imagine.
Again, not nearly hot & heavy, but all the same… Enjoy!
The First Night
To kiss her lips,
is my utmost joy.
For in that moment,
I’m no longer boy.
But the man she depends on
in the harrowing storm.
The man she trusts
to keep her warm.
To touch her body
brings wanted relief.
Though the touch
be so very brief.
I feel her quiver,
as I press her sides.
Knowing this is where
her laughter hides.
An invitation,
she coyly rests,
As she moves my hands
upon her breasts.
Her supple skin,
so soft and sweet,
Laid to mine
from head to feet.
When all is done,
she kisses me.
As soft a kiss
as any be.
Yet, when I think
how far we’ve gone,
I wonder how life
can simply go on…

Well done. Like both poems. They exude romance and beauty.
