Love In the Snow.

I’d like to recount an experience my wife and I had on one beautiful winter day where the whole town was snowed in and we stayed home from work.

Our house is out in the country (nearest house is a quarter of a mile away, at least) and we decided to take a trip into the woods behind us.

We sledded, played in the snow, and threw snowballs as we walked further and further into the woods. At a certain point, we dropped our sleds and just ventured further to enjoy the majestic forest. My wife knew these woods very well and shared sentimental memories of them from her childhood (our house used to be her parent’s).

Rarely have I ever felt so whole, so complete, and so bonded to my wife as on that day. We just held each other in the snow and rocked back and forth saying, “I love you”, and cried into each other’s arms. We were so joyful, I will never forget it.

On our way back my wife suggested that we make love in the snow. We knew we were far enough out to not be caught by anybody, so we found a little alcove made of dirt and ice that would give us warmth and some cover.

We put our jackets on the snow to lay down on. My wife got comfy, slipped down her pants a bit and helped me slip out of mine, and then we wrapped the ends of the jackets around us. We laid next to each other side to side, facing each other and made love for a very long time.

Now my wife and I try to make a “special trip” out into the woods whenever the snow hits hard, and we love it.
